VISION
The Grove Collective is a group of families united in the belief that devoting ourselves to beauty, nature, and restful learning is best done in the community. We exist as a faith-based Charlotte Mason collective, deeply rooted in truth, growing together, and offering shade to others. While The Grove officially began in 2021, we spent years before that dreaming of a space where cooperative learning was done as a family alongside one another. We are a mother-led group, deeply valuing a strong “mother culture” in which the Grove Mamas are championed, seen, and nourished as they love and lead their children. We hope that every Grove child and mother will grow deep roots in God the Father and flourish in this season of home education. We agree with Charlotte Mason when she writes, “God the Holy Spirit is Himself, personally, the imparter of knowledge, the instructor of youth, the inspirer of genius.” We affirm that our role as families of these children is to faithfully partner with the Holy Spirit at work in their lives and help them cultivate a love of God, a love of others, and a love of truth, goodness, and beauty.
We exist as a collective learning space to be deeply rooted in truth, to grow together, and to offer shade to others. We seek to bring this vision to reality through these core values of The Grove:
Create an atmosphere for our students that encourages the cultivation of virtue in the heart, mind, and body.
Love our neighbors by providing shade for others as we grow. Our families, neighbors, and the broader community are positively impacted by the fruit of virtue in the learners themselves.
Nurture a love for wisdom, a delight for imagination, and the celebration of all that is good, true, and beautiful in the world God has created.
Grow deeply together as we collectively pursue ideas that flourish through a community of fellow learners and dedicated mentors.
